We will instruct children from the age of 6 or for more advanced courses from the age of 10. There are no age restrictions for children climbing under parental supervision where the parent(s) are registered members of the climbing centre. Please see individual courses for specific age restrictions that may apply.
No, but you are welcome to bring your own food and use our cafe area to set up a party tea. We do have tea, coffee, juice, cakes, flapjacks and a small selection of filled rolls and wraps available in our cafe.
Children under the age of 14 cannot climb unsupervised. Once well-known to us children aged 14 and 15 may, at the discretion of the Managing Director and after discussion with their parents or legal guardians, climb unsupervised. Young adults aged 16 and 17 may climb unsupervised once known to us and with the consent of their parent or legal guardian. Assessment is required in all cases.
We instruct on a maximum ratio of 9 climbers per instructor. If you want to bring more than 9 climbers you must hire a second instructor. It is not possible to switch climbers in and out during a session.
We are normally happy for spectators to watch the climbing, however, at busy times it may not be possible to do so from the climbing floor. You must identify yourself to the instructor at the beginning of the session and you will be asked to wear a helmet.
