Youth Winter Climbing Competition 13/12/08  15/12/08

We had a superb turnout of 51 juniors for our Youth Winter Climbing Competition on Saturday 13/12/08. Each category of climbers (age 7-9, 10-12 and 13-15 male and female) battled it out, with boulder problems and routes up to grade Font 7b! Everyone that took part climbed exceptionally well, and the winners were as follows:

Age 7-9: 1st Dominic Vincent, 2nd Hannah Slaney, 3rd Yvonne Bentley

Age 10-12: 1st Randy Roby, 2nd Hamish Potokar, 3rd Isabella Bentley

Age 13-15 Females: 1st Heidi Schwenk, 2nd Catherine Burgess, 3rd Jenny Seaborne.

Age 13-15 Males: 1st Ben Norman, 2nd David Broad, 3rd Jack Rowley-Noble.

Climber of the Day: Chloe Powell

The winners were presented with Snow + Rock vouchers, Microfibre Fleeces, chalk bags, posters and certificates, and all the climbers received a certificate of attendance. Many congratulations to all of them.

Gift certificates  02/12/08

We can provide Gift Certificates for any of our courses, or for a fixed number of entries for registered members, and they are generally valid for 6 months. To buy a voucher please call the office on 0117 908 3491 between 11am & 4pm Monday to Friday with your card details, and it will be posted 1st class on the same day.

Youth Climbing Competitions in 2009  02/12/08

We are pleased to have been selected to host the second round of the BMC Youth Climbing Series for the South West on Saturday 28th March 2009, which is for children age 7 to 16; more details can be found on the link to follow.
